Groundwork
A potato toy, his patented pattern allows him to separate his detachable parts from his trunk by removing them from the holes on his body. He also has a compartment on his lower back to store extra appendages. He is the simply toy shown to be capable of retaining command over his parts, even if they are several centimeters/inches away from his main trunk, most likely because his toy is designed to exist taken autonomously, different many other types of toys — who are typically and effectively "mutilated" when it comes to that. For case, he can still meet if his detachable eyes are removed (through the eyes, of course), also as being able to move his easily and legs if they are detached.
Official Description
- Mr. Murphy Head is a wisecracking, hot-headed irish potato, complete with angry eyes. He's the eternal pessimist with a tough plastic outside, but his total devotion to his "sweet potato," Mrs. Potato Head, reveals a softer side.
Evolution
In the original story pitch for Toy Story, he had largely the aforementioned personality as the concluding film, with his cynicism too beingness highlighted by his remarking, regarding Buzz potentially falling into the street (after Woody pushed Fizz out of the window, deliberately in this version) that "[Buzz] ain't going to Pizza [Planet] now!" He was also shown to be very defensive of his fellow toys, as evidenced past his telling Woody, after the latter viciously insulted Slinky Dog and threatened to throw him off the bed for non willing to obey him in throwing them off the bed, that he might as well throw him off as well, with Hamm, and Rex joining in.
Personality
Mr. Potato Head is a rather cynical Mr. Potato Caput doll, of the mutual design of Playskool. Andy often casts him every bit a villain in his games, which seems to be the reason for his cynical and irritable behavior. Even though he is sarcastic, cynical, rude (more often than not to Woody at first), and has an acerbic point of view, he has a good heart deep down, he loves his married woman Mrs. Murphy Caput, and is prepared to go to limitless lengths to salvage his friends. In the 2d film, when Woody was kidnapped, he showed some shock and later showed some sadness when Woody refused to get back home. Mr. Potato Head appears to be partners with Hamm as they are seen high-fiving each other whenever something exciting or victorious happens.
Despite having more than of an attitude in Toy Story, he becomes much more amicable later on the arrival of Mrs. Potato Head.
Despite his grumpy behavior, Mr. Potato Head can sometimes be fun-loving with a genuine sense of sense of humor.
Appearances
Toy Story
Mr. Potato Head first appears in Toy Story, playing One-Eyed Bart. After Andy leaves his room, Mr. Potato Head wakes up to find a number of his parts scattered to the floor (Molly has earlier drooled on him and smashed him apart), likewise expressing irritation that Andy placed him in Molly's crib during their "playtime" equally he is supposed to be only playable for children of ages three and upwardly. He so shows Hamm his messed-up face (with all his facial pieces, except his mustache, in the wrong slots), pretending to be Picasso, only Hamm is confused and Mr. Potato Head berates Hamm for existence uncultured.
When Woody holds a staff meeting, Mr. Irish potato Head asks if they have to hold easily when Woody tells everyone to get a moving buddy. Mr. Irish potato Head points out that Woody is, of form, not worried when he tells everyone not to panic when Andy's birthday has been moved to that day, citing bitterly that Woody has been Andy'southward favorite since kindergarten, only for Slinky to speak up to Mr. Irish potato Head when he has complained about that, and when Slinky is not looking, Potato Head takes off his oral cavity and "kisses" his ain butt while Slinky keeps talking. When Woody sends Sarge and his Green Army Men, Mr. Potato Head prays for Andy to get a Mrs. Murphy Head.
During well-nigh of the first motion picture, Mr. Potato Caput is rude and hateful to Woody mostly because he is jealous of Woody being Andy's favorite toy. For example, when he becomes fascinated with all the features of the Buzz Lightyear activity figure that Andy has received for his birthday, Mr. Potato Head makes fun of Woody past accusing him of not having a laser-similar Buzz, describing Woody's sampled voice "like a auto ran over it" and suggesting an attic every bit a special identify Andy volition have for Woody.
One evening, afterward Woody accidentally knocks Buzz out the window, Mr. Potato Head is quick to accuse him of being a murderer, having witnessed the chain of events that led to it, and interrogates Woody every bit to if he will do the same to him as well if Andy started playing with him more than. Earlier Woody could reply, Hamm, having seen everything equally well with Mr. Murphy Head, decides not to give Woody that chance and agrees with Mr. Potato Caput. The 2 of them then lead a mutiny with the other toys to attack Woody, despite Bo Peep's attempts to talk them down. But before the toys can do so, they all retreat when they hear Andy approaching the room. While Andy searches the room for Buzz, Mr. White potato Head quietly gets Woody'south attention and has Etch A Sketch draw a hangman'due south noose, threatening to hang Woody for harming Fizz, before Andy leaves with Woody for Pizza Planet.
That nighttime, when Andy and his mother return abode, Mr. Potato Head, along with Hamm, is feeling somewhat content when he learns about Woody'southward disappearance as he has insisted on Woody's guilt in the window incident.
The next twenty-four hour period, Woody throws a string of Christmas lights from Sid'due south house to Andy'south house; Slinky catches them, just Mr. Potato Head snatches them abroad and labels Woody a liar after reminding the others about the window incident with Buzz. Woody then tries to convince the toys to allow him get back by pretending that Fizz is with him (using Fizz'southward severed left arm), but Mr. Potato Head remains suspicious of what Woody is actually doing and asks Woody what's he trying to pull. When Woody accidentally blows his encompass by showing Buzz's arm, Mr. Tater Head snaps at Woody, calls him a "murdering dog", and tells him that he hopes Sid pulls his phonation box out before the toys back abroad from the window, leaving Woody stranded in Sid's house. Non even Bo Peep or Slinky are willing to give Woody the benefit of the incertitude now and actually believe Mr. Potato Caput and Hamm were right.
On the night before the moving day, it was shown that Rex was his moving buddy, but only because everyone else was picked. Male monarch sticks his head out of the box to gasp for air, making Mr. Irish potato Head angry and wonder why they became moving buddies in the kickoff place. Rex then told him that anybody else was picked.
The side by side mean solar day, during the move to Andy's new house, Woody tosses RC out of the moving truck onto the street to rescue Fizz from Scud. Thinking Woody is trying to kill another toy, Mr. Potato Caput rallies the others to deadfall and toss him overboard, despite that Andy already missed Woody. During the ambush, Woody hits Mr. Murphy Head with RC's remote, making his left ear and entire face parts fall off and his oral cavity yells, "Toss him overboard!" after Woody tries to explain to the toys that they need to save Buzz. However, when Bo Peep reveals that Woody was telling the truth later on the other toys see Woody and Buzz on RC, Mr. White potato Head realizes his mistake and is horrified and guilty at his actions. He tries to compensate for his mistakes by property onto Slinky'due south tail so Slinky can assist Woody, Buzz, and RC back into the truck. Information technology unfortunately fails, but Woody gets an idea and uses Sid'due south rocket and tosses RC back to the van; the toys move out of the way as RC crashes into Mr. Potato Head, sending his pieces flying in all directions, perchance as an ironic payback for having led the mutiny in the first identify.
At the terminate of the moving picture, Mr. Potato Caput seems to be in a ameliorate mood. He is excited to hear Molly receiving a Mrs. Potato Caput equally her Christmas present. When Hamm congratulates Mr. Potato Caput, he remarks he had better shave, and then he removes his mustache.
Toy Story 2
In Toy Story 2, he is first seen having found Mrs. Potato Head'due south missing ear. Woody thinks he found his lid, only he tells Woody that Mrs. Potato Head lost her earring equally he returns information technology to her. Along with the other toys, Mr. Potato Head witnesses Woody going down to the 1000 sale with Buster to rescue Wheezy from being sold and is shocked when Woody gets stolen by Al. Afterward Woody is kidnapped, he and Hamm ready a criminal offence scene, where Mr. Tater Head operates Exhibit F, in which he details the kidnapper'due south escape route, though he after snaps at Rex later the latter, when request for the phone number for the FBI, accidentally destroys his criminal offense scene. He indirectly (and inadvertently) helps Fizz deduce the answer to LZTYBRN (the license plate on the machine of the thief) when he sarcastically tells the others to "leave Buzz to play with his toys". As Buzz tells Etch to draw the man in a chicken suit, Mr. Murphy Caput, along with the other toys, is horrified to learn that the homo who has kidnapped Woody is the "Chicken Human", Al McWhiggin, who also happens to be the owner of Al's Toy Barn.
Afterward, Mr. Potato Head goes on a mission with Buzz, Slinky, Hamm, and King to save Woody, showing him in a much more positive calorie-free and suggesting that his human relationship with Woody has greatly improved. Earlier they leave, Mrs. Murphy Head packs her husband an extra pair of shoes and aroused eyes and Mr. White potato Head puts on his mustache he "shaved" saying, "Let's roll." At 1 bespeak, when the toys are reprimanded by Buzz for requesting a rest, Buzz mentions the time when Mr. Potato Head had Woody thrown out of the back of the moving van and Mr. Potato Head is nonetheless shown to be regretting this greatly, even though Woody has long since forgiven him. When the toys cross the street to Al's Toy Barn, they indirectly make a semi tractor-trailer jackknife, and the chains securing a large pipe on the semi break, freeing the piping. The piping later rolls downwardly the street, during which Spud Head gets one of his feet stuck on a piece of chewing gum on the pavement. He manages to free his foot from the mucilage and narrowly escapes getting rolled over by the pipe. Upon making it to the other side of the route, he commented on how well that went, just as the piping rolls into and makes a lamppost fall downward onto the street.
While the toys search Al'south Toy Barn, they meet a Barbie alley, where Tour Guide Barbie hops into the car right next to Mr. Irish potato Head, who reminds himself he is a married spud, prompting Hamm to switch seats with him. He seems to be the most suspicious of a cocky attitude of the newer Buzz that the toys accept with them from Al's Toy Barn. Afterwards the toys break into Al's apartment, the newer Buzz uses Mr. Potato Caput'due south center to scan the room and sees Jessie tickling Woody, only they mistake this for bodily torture. After bang-up Rex's head through the air vent, Mr. Murphy Head tries to scare Jessie by reaching into his back compartment for his angry eyes, simply accidentally attaches his spare pair of shoes (especially after Mrs. Potato Head has given him his shoes and his angry eyes).
When the toys get out the apartment after Al leaves with Woody, Mr. Murphy Head throws his lid like a frisbee to jam the apartment foyer's endmost doors, letting the toys pass through. Exterior, he is the beginning to spot an idling Pizza Planet commitment truck nearby and is assigned past Buzz to operate the levers and knobs with Hamm. To make the truck advance, Mr. Tater Caput shifts the lever of the truck while Slinky presses down the pedals. While the toys hunt Al in the truck, Mr. Murphy Head saves 3 alien toys from flying out the window. He becomes increasingly bellyaching at the aliens' repeated expression of their gratefulness towards him. At Tri-Canton International Airport, he, Hamm, Male monarch, and the Aliens aim for baggage identical to the 1 the Roundup Gang are trapped in, just to find flash cameras instead. However, they use the cameras to stun a traitorous Stinky Pete earlier he can finish Woody off with his pickaxe.
Subsequently the toys render home, Mrs. Potato Head, upon hearing that her husband has saved the aliens, decides to adopt them as their children, much to his dismay. Finally, he and his wife stand together equally they watch a fixed Wheezy sing (in a deep voice) "You've Got a Friend in Me."
Toy Story 3
In Toy Story 3, Mr. Murphy Head has become distrusting of Andy, thinking he no longer cares for his toys as a result of growing up. Despite this, he tries to comfort his wife while the Aliens effort to observe condolement in him as well — much to Mr. Murphy Head's annoyance. Eventually, Woody declares information technology's time they "close up shop" and prepare to alive the rest of their days in the cranium, which Mr. Potato Head and the others lament. Unfortunately, they are mistakenly thrown out by Mrs. Davis. This infuriates Mr. Spud Head and the other toys, who unanimously decided to donate themselves to Sunnyside Daycare.
Though things seem pleasant at first, the leader of the daycare Lotso tricks the toys into becoming members of the Caterpillar Room, where they are mangled and tormented by toddlers. After learning that Andy actually still wants them, and that Woody was right all along, Hamm starts scolding Potato Caput for not believing him in the kickoff place (which was non used in the starting time pic for everything he had done), which leads to a brief statement between them both of who didn't believe Woody first. The toys band together to return home, simply to exist stopped by Lotso, his henchmen, and a reset Buzz. Potato Head defends his friends past mouthing off Lotso, which results in the former being sent to the box as punishment. The next solar day, Potato Head is reunited with his wife but is sandy and in a haze. Woody returns afterward that day, and Potato Head indirectly confesses that he was right about Andy.
They form an escape programme, in which Mr. Potato Head purposefully gets himself put into the box. He escapes by dismantling himself and assisting the others outside the daycare building. He uses a tortilla to supplant his trunk, only information technology is eaten by a bird. This forces Mr. Potato Head to instead use a cucumber from the daycare's garden. However, later the residue of the toys are freed, Mr. Spud Head is reunited with his old body.
Together, the toys escape the daycare and Lotso's clutches simply are accidentally taken to the dump and nearly face incineration. They are saved past the Aliens, who Tater Head finally accepts equally his children out of gratitude. Back at Andy's business firm, Mr. Potato Caput and the others accept their future as attic toys, merely Woody manages to get everyone donated to a young girl named Bonnie instead.

Mr. Tater Head awkwardly states that the two volition have fun weeks together, simply to throw his eye and arm into the game so he can play. When Barbie and Ken arrive into Bonnie's room, they think they're in Hawaii, only for Woody to say they are in Bonnie's room and that Bonnie left her school backpack at dwelling house. While Ken hyperventilates, Mr. Tater Head questions his logic for thinking Bonnie would take her school backpack on vacation. Ken then cries inside Bonnie'due south haversack, while Barbie tells the gang Ken had been planning a romantic getaway for them for months. When she sadly says how they were planning to have their first kiss, Mr. Potato Head asks out loud they still haven't kissed all the same, but to be harshly shoved past Mrs. Potato Head and making his parts collapse. The gang and so hatch a plan to give Barbie and Ken the vacation they deserve by making a brand-shift Hawaiian resort in Bonnie'due south chamber. Mr. Spud Head acts as the hotel'due south concierge and sticks his parts into a literal pineapple during a "Guided Nature Hike" with Barbie and Ken. He is so seen making a brand-shift beach for Barbie and Ken to kiss by standing on peak of Trixie and dumping cat litter in front of a film of the beach. Slinky then yells out that Barbie and Ken are exterior on the porch. The gang watch happily as Barbie and Ken share their first kiss, only for the 2 to fall into the snowfall. This also led to him existence indirectly responsible for Rex belongings a political party in the bathtub and calling himself "Partysaurus Rex." After the plumber came over due to the water flood thanks to Rex (resulting in Mr. Potato Caput removing his ears temporarily to let the water inside spill out), Mr. Potato Caput was in atheism that Male monarch could hold an effective party until the pool toys invited him to cause a rave.

He is afterward shown helping the other toys rescue Jessie out of a toolbox after she fell in from the affect of a flat tire. After the others condolement her due to her claustrophobia, Trixie quietly asks what is wrong with Jessie, to which Mr. Potato Head explains she was abased and put into storage for years. After they run into Bonnie's bag, they see Bonnie and her female parent walk into a hotel due to the automobile having a flat. Trixie eavesdrops the conversion with Mrs. Anderson on the phone, maxim that the tow truck will not come until the morning, meaning they will have to stay at the hotel all night.
Afterwards Bonnie and her mother fall comatose, Mr. Potato Head sneaks out of the suitcase to look at the complimentary amenities, challenge he promised Hamm that he would bring dorsum something nice. Mr. Pricklepants warns him to not exit there, since "the first to go out usually gets it", but Woody warns him not to leave since a hotel is 1 of the easiest places for a toy to get lost. Mr. Potato Caput disagrees and leaves, making the rest of the toys walk out to cheque the free stuff. He and then mysteriously disappears, being taken abroad by a mysterious animal.
After going under the hotel through a vent, Trixie, Mr. Pricklepants, and Male monarch are taken by the creature, leaving Woody, Fizz, and Jessie to remain. The trio and so find Mr. Potato Caput'southward arm, which they use every bit a compass to discover the mode. Woody and Fizz are taken by the creature, with Potato Head'south arm being swallowed by it. Later on snatching Combat Carl and cornering Jessie in a shower, it's revealed that the creature is an iguana named Mr. Jones. He snatches Jessie and brings him to his owner, Ron the hotel manager. Ron uses Mr. Jones to sneak into his customers' hotel rooms and steal toys and valuables, where Ron then sells them online.
After putting Jessie in a locked bookcase, she reunites with both her friends and another group of kidnapped toys. Later on a failed try to open up the lock with a paperclip, Ron's calculator gives an warning, saying that he has a sale. It's revealed Woody has been bought online for a large price, making Ron package him and puts him with other packages. After Jessie is also bought, she is left exterior the case later Ron gets distracted with the tow truck company. Jessie cannot reach the lock, and says she will get Woody so they can accomplish the handle together. But before she tin, a delivery lady arrives and takes the package Woody is in. Combat Carl and then encourages Jessie to sneak into a box so she tin can rescue Woody out of the truck. Afterwards accidentally getting sealed into the box by the delivery lady, Mr. Potato Caput gives upward, proverb that they're never going to go out of there. After a while, Trixie doubts that they're coming dorsum, only Mr. Pricklepants claims to be patient, using a movie's tension every bit an example. This causes Mr. Potato Head to snap and say that life is not a moving-picture show and that Jessie and Woody were not coming back, only for them to run in through the vent moments later.
Earlier Jessie stacks herself on height of Woody, she sees Bonnie and her mom checking out behind the defunction. She then comes upward a programme to pull the defunction to reveal the toys in the shelf, but gets stopped by Mr. Jones. During a struggle, Jessie realizes that Mr. Jones has a weak gag reflex after puking upwards Combat Carl's arm. She then throws herself into his rima oris, where she pulls out Mr. Potato Head's slobbery arm. Every bit Mr. Jones pulls Jessie away, she uses the arm as a grip for the drapery, making it autumn down. Bonnie sees her toys within the case before she can walk out and runs into the dorsum to grab her toys. After Mrs. Anderson threatens to phone call the constabulary, she grabs Bonnie's toys and walks out with her daughter. The gang thank Jessie once dorsum in the trunk. Merely Rex asks frantically if anyone has seen for Mr. Potato Caput and Mr. Pricklepants says that Mr. Jones must have claimed "one final victim", just for Jessie to calmly say he is even so here. He is shown kissing his arm, maxim they will never exist separated again, only for the force of the motorcar to eject all of Murphy Head's parts and making them besprinkle, making the gang express mirth.
Toy Story That Time Forgot
Mr. Tater Head returns in the Christmas special. He spends Christmas with Bonnie and her toys. His function is smaller than his role in the films and Halloween special.
Toy Story four
Mr. Irish potato Head appears once more in the fourth movie, though like many of the other toys, he has a very small role in the ultimate story. He likewise has very limited dialogue in the film due to the death of Don Rickles in 2017 in which archived/unused dialogues of Rickles were used.
He first appears in the flashback 9 years prior to the 3rd and fourth film. During a thunderstorm, Andy comes in and dumps the residue of the gang onto his bed to head downstairs for dinner. Afterwards he leaves, the toys leap up and begin to panic because Andy accidentally left RC outside in the thunderstorm. Woody tells Buzz, Jessie, and Slinky to follow him to Molly's room while the rest of the gang stays put. Information technology tin be assumed Mr. Potato Head was saddened by Bo Peep's deviation after existence sold off to some other owner. He is afterwards seen throughout the "You've Got a Friend in Me" sequence, existence played with by Bonnie.
Nine years later, Mr. Potato Head now lives with the residual of the toys with Bonnie being their new owner. He first appears with the remainder of the toys waiting in the closet for Bonnie to finish her breakfast. The toys are cramped and annoyed with one another, with Mr. Potato Caput request someone where his ear is. Once Dolly shushes everyone, he is heard snickering after he jokingly presses Fizz's buttons to break the silence, much to Buzz'southward annoyance. He, forth with many of the other toys, is played with more prominently than Woody, who Bonnie neglects. When Bonnie arrives in her room, she plays "boondocks", and takes the whole gang out except Woody. He watches in sadness as the other toys are played with past Bonnie, with Mr. Potato Head'southward hat being put on Bullseye while they play "Chapeau Shop". Suddenly, Bonnie'due south begetter walks in and tells her to get ready for kindergarten orientation, much to her dismay. When Bonnie asks if she can bring a toy (namely Jessie) with her, Mr. Anderson says toys aren't immune in school. After they leave, the toys (including Mr. Potato Head, who tries to catch his arm off the floor) are about to get up when Dolly tells everyone to freeze, since Bonnie always forgets something and could be back any second. After seeing Bonnie crying under her bed when she returns into the room, Woody decides to sneak into her backpack to keep an eye on her, much to the other toy's dismay. During her orientation, she creates Forky, a spork who suddenly comes to life.
When Bonnie returns and drops her backpack off in her room, Woody climbs out and is scolded past the rest of the gang for breaking the rules, with Mr. Potato Head saying he knew Woody would sneak out. Merely Woody alleviates the situation by maxim that not only did Bonnie have a great twenty-four hours in course and they're all going on a road trip, but Bonnie fabricated a literal friend in class. Woody pulls out Forky and introduces him to the gang. Like the others, Mr. Potato Head is both shocked and dislocated by both Forky'due south existence and his dear of trash. They and then watch in confusion as Woody fishes Forky out of the trash, saying how he'll go on an heart on his during the road trip.
Mr. Potato Head is and then seen throughout the "I Tin can't Permit Yous Throw Yourself Away" sequence, sitting nevertheless as Woody frequently keeps Forky from throwing himself out. That nighttime, while everyone else is asleep, Forky escapes out of Bonnie's hands and jumps out the RV window. Woody says he'll meet them at the RV park in the morning time with Forky and jumps out the window.
The next morning, the toys sneak a spoon into a sleeping Bonnie'southward hand every bit a substitute for Forky, simply to no avail, as Bonnie is distraught over losing her favorite toy. Every bit she goes outside with her parents to look for him, the toys contemplate on what to do. Buzz (subsequently listening to his "inner voice", AKA his voicebox) then states he must become, to which Mr. Murphy Caput asks what happens subsequently that. Buzz then states there'south no time to explicate and jumps out the window to find Woody and Forky, leaving the other toys to make certain the Andersons do not get out the RV park. Meanwhile, Woody talks to Bo Peep (who is now a lost toy and helps Woody rescue Forky from the Antique Store) mentions to her how the whole gang is still together, including Mr. Potato Caput.
That afternoon, the gang begins to panic as the Andersons prepare to leave with Buzz, Woody, and Forky still out there. Rex begins to accept a panic set on, and accidentally knocks into Mr. Potato Head with his tail, causing him to lose some of his parts, and Mr. Spud Head tells King to lookout information technology. He remains unimpressed with the toys' ideas, rolling his optics when Rex suggests they could get back in fourth dimension to warn Woody about the future. While they struggle to remember of a plan, Jessie quickly leaps out of the window and pops the front tire of the RV, much to the grouping's relief.
By that night, Mr. Anderson finally fixes the tire, only Buzz arrives just in fourth dimension. Fizz explains to the gang that he and Woody must exist extracted from the Antique Shop. Every bit the Andersons climb into the RV, the toys collapse. Buzz whispers to the gang that Bonnie volition realize she left her haversack back at the store and they volition become back for it. But apparently, Bonnie doesn't notice and the RV begins to bulldoze off. Buzz then uses his voicebox and his "inner vocalization" once again to think of a programme. Mrs. Anderson believes Buzz to be broke and throws him in a drawer when Fizz quickly yells out to Bonnie (in a way to sound like one of his phrases): "Your haversack is at the Antique Shop; allow'south go!" This works, and the RV turns effectually to return to the Antique Store.
Afterward getting her haversack with Forky inside, Woody sneaks off to help Gabby Gabby and tells him to become the RV to the carousel as a run across-up spot. While Bonnie is sleeping, Forky explains information technology to the gang, to which Mr. Potato Caput is skeptical on how to go the RV back to the carnival. Jessie then comes up with a program. Buzz climbs to the roof and tells Mrs. Potato Head where to go using her ear. Meanwhile, Mrs. White potato Head hides nether Mr. Anderson's seat and repeats the directions to Trixie, who mimics the GPS in order to tell Mr. Anderson where to become. When the plan begins to fail, Buttercup then sneaks under the gas pedal and pulls it forrad so the RV tin can get faster, eventually making the RV be chased past the law.
Subsequently successfully getting to the RV to the carousel, Buzz tells everyone to get to the roof while Forky locks the Andersons out of the car after dealing with the police chasing them. After stacking themselves up, Mr. Potato Head (at the top) uses literally both of his artillery to open up the awning as a span between them and the carousel. They before long climb upwardly and the older toys are shocked to see their old friend, Bo. As the other toys realize that Woody is going to leave them to be with Bo, he and Mrs. Tater Head give a content smiling, understanding his reasons to stay with her. Woody is and so given a group hug joined by Irish potato Head. Forky sneaks up to join them but leaves the doors unlocked, causing the RV to pull away. After jumping back into the RV, the gang watches as Bo and Woody wave goodbye on top of the carousel.
One year afterward, Bonnie drops off her haversack after her 1st form orientation. Jessie emerges from the bag and is barraged with questions by the other toys. Jessie interrupts anybody by maxim Bonnie made another new friend and introduces the gang to Knifey, a toy knife Forky falls in love with.
